Print Shield protects your prints from water and light!
Why finish you prints?
Unlike traditional photography where a gelatin emulsion protects the image, ink jet papers are porous like a sponge, even after the ink has been applied. In order to protect the image over time, a coating is needed to seal the print.
WATER RESISTANT TEST
A very popular OEM Canvas was tested for water resistance. The image was halved, then mirrored. The right half was sprayed with 3 light coats of PremierArt Print Shield. The image was "cured" for 24 hours before water testing. The following water resistant tests were conducted:
A: 3 drops* of water for 45 seconds, then whipped away with a sponge.
B: Moist sponge with 3 passes
C: 3 drops* of water for 4 minutes then blotted with a paper towel.
* Drops were administered with a pipette. Approximate total volume is 0.13 ml.
The results are obvious. Print Shield will protect your canvas from incidental water contact.

Somerset Paper's longevity increased an amazing 104 years when framed under glass, and in the bare bulb test, the ratings doubled!
The Epson Canvas had an increase of 28 years in the bare bulb test. Most canvas prints are displayed without glass, so Print Shield is the ONLY choice for canvas protection. It is the only Spray tested and recommended by Epson.
